Overall, not a very exciting week. Warm weather and outdoor play lead to much more interesting pockets. Spring and fall might be the best times, because of the jacket with pockets factor. And, lots more things on the ground to pick up and stuff in those pockets! (Ask me sometime about the toads in my house or the pockets full of beach rocks after a Cub Scout hike.)Lots more places to hide things.
Quickly, speaking of hiding things -- Cole is getting smart. He got caught 2 days last week with toys in his stocking cap. I have always taught the kids to store, and carry, if they need to, their gloves in the top of their stocking caps. If you are taking everything off when you arrive somewhere, then put the gloves in your hat, the hat in the sleeve of your coat. If you are walking around in your coat and, for whatever reason, you cannot get your gloves in your pockets, then, please just stuff them in the top of your hat and put the hat back on your head -- VOILA!! Mom is smart!!
Back to the toys in the hat......I went to put gloves in Cole's hat one day last week and found a tiny little army airplane sitting on top of his head! One other day, whatever car he was trying to stuff up in there was just too big; this mom noticed that her child had a seriously misshapen head that morning! Stinker -- one who did get in a little trouble.
